If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever…..Our loving son, grandson, nephew and cousin Michael T. Darling, 25, of Apalachin, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2014. Michael is survived by his mother Vicki Darling of Apalachin, his maternal grandparents: David A. and Dawn Darling of Apalachin; paternal grandparents: Dean Welch of Florida; Barbara Welch and great aunt Jan Carmein both of East Hampton, Mass; his uncles: David L. Darling of Warren Center; Matt Welch of Binghamton; his aunt Kelly J. Hawkins of Goodland, Kansas; great aunt and great uncle Rodney and Rosemary Darling of Warren Center, Pa; numerous cousins, many friends and his feline companions Bob and Tony. Michael was welcomed into heaven by his beloved grandmother Jane Darling and his father David E. Welch and his great aunt Vicki Prentice. Michael was born on March 30, 1989 in Binghamton. He lived life to the fullest ~ he enjoyed playing video games, paint ball and especially enjoyed working on motorcycles. Michael always carried a smile and often would share his phone number with the cute girls at the checkout counter. Michael completed technical school at the Universal Technical Institute in Orlando where studied the Harley Davidson mechanics. He was currently employed at Taylor Recycle in Apalachin. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Thursday, August 28th from 4 to 6 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A memorial service will follow at 6 pm with his cousin, Pastor Pete Darling, officiating.
