Murray H. Tyrrell

Murray H. Tyrrell, 95, of Owego, NY, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2020. He was the son of the late Cecil and Ruby (Sibley) Tyrrell. Following graduation from Owego Free Academy, he proudly served his country in the US Navy, during World War II. Murray retired from IBM Owego following 33 years of service. Dedicated to his community, he was a member of the Westbrook Masonic Lodge F & AM 333 in Nichols. In addition, he served as Scout Master for a local Boy Scout troop for many years. In addition to his parents, Murray was predeceased by his wife Marjorie in 2009, and his sister Anna Lee in 2018. He is survived by his children: Marcia T. Jenks of Auburn, NY; Dana M. Tyrrell, Sr., of Niagara Falls, NY; and Julie (Jay) A. Harding of Boiling Springs, SC; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and seven nieces and nephews.
