Nancy L. Ross

When I come to the end of the road, and the sun has set for me, remember the love that we have shared and that will comfort thee.... Nancy L. Ross, 80, of Wysox, (Rome Borough) Pennsylvania went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Bradford County Manor. Nancy was born on March 16, 1938 in Nichols, New York the only child of the late Merritt L. and Lena B. (Olmstead) Keeler. She attended school in Nichols until the middle of her senior year, when her class merged with students at Tioga Central. Nancy was a member of the first graduating class of 1956 from Tioga Central. Following graduation she started working at IBM in Owego, New York and through that connection she met her future husband, Robert Ross. Nancy and Robert were married on September 14, 1963 at the East Smithfield Federated Church and together they have shared 55 years of marriage. Over the years, Nancy was employed at various jobs while raising her two sons. The longest being at the Sears catalog store in Wysox, Pa. A loving wife, a devoted mother and caring grandmother, her greatest pleasure was to give whatever she had to others. Nancy was a devoted member of the North Rome Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed listening to music, singing and playing the piano. Nancy is survived by her husband Robert Ross, her sons and daughters-in-law: Edward K. and Sara Ross; R. Scott and Doreen Ross; ten grandchildren: Kate Ross, Ian Ross, Anna Ross, Emily Ross ~ all children of Ed and Sara Ross; Amanda Laudermilch, Aaron Ross, Ashton Ross, Avery Ross, Abigail Moyer and Alyssa Ross ~ all children of R. Scott and Doreen Ross. Eleven great grandchildren: Brooklyn, London, Britton, Aurora, Joshua, Arabella, Judah, Landyn, Joyanna, Jaxon and Rosalee. Several cousins and their families also survive. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation and time of sharing memories on Saturday, March 9th from 10 to 12 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A funeral service and celebration of Nancy's life will follow at 12 pm with Pastor Ed Ross and Pastor Larry Burke, officiating. Interment and prayers of committal will be held at the convenience of the family in the Rome Cemetery.
