Nancy L. Thompson

A mother holds her children's hands for a while and their hearts forever…..surrounded by her family, Nancy L. Thompson, 73, of Glenwood Rd., Vestal passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 10, 2011. Nancy is survived by her daughter Suzanne B. Thompson, with whom she resided with; her son James William (Julie Tomasky) Thompson of Vestal; her faithful canine companion Maggie; sister Grace Larrabee Bell of Towanda, Pa; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Dear friends Elsie and Dick Wade; Gary and Nancy Slater and Pat and Carol. She was predeceased by her husband William R. Thompson on December 11, 1998; siblings Regina, Robert, Richard and Wallace, Jr. Nancy was born on August 28, 1937 in Trenton, NJ a daughter of the late Wallace and Alice (Dunlop) Larrabee. She was a graduate of Wyalusing High School and the Robert Packer Hospital School of Nursing in 1958. On January 20, 1959 in Camptown, Pa Nancy married William R. Thompson. Nancy enjoyed collecting antiques and elephants; and when the day wasn't going just right found comfort in listening to classical music. Abiding with her wishes, there will be no services. Spring interment will be in the Camptown Cemetery. Friends who wish may kindly consider a memorial contribution to Lourdes Hospice at Home, 4102 Old Vestal Road, Vestal, NY 13850.
