Pamela J. Fredenburg
of Barton, New York
Surrounded by her family and those that she loved so dearly, Pamela J. Fredenburg, affectionately known as Pam, passed away peacefully in her home in Barton, NY on May 14, 2023. Pam was born on September 1, 1968, in Endicott, NY, a daughter of the late Carol A. (Short) and Roy D. Rogers, Sr. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Pam attended Tioga Central High School, where she made lifelong friendships and memories. Her strong work ethic and compassionate spirit led her to a variety of roles throughout her life. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, working at Burger King, Dandy, Lounsberry Truckstop, and serving as a Home Health Aide. A lover of the outdoors, Pam cherished spending time at the beach, soaking up the sun and basking in the beauty of nature. An artist at heart, she found joy in creating handcrafted Diamond Art Paintings, which often served as heartfelt gifts for her loved ones. Pam's interests also included collecting bears and porcelain dolls, a testament to her appreciation for the finer details in life.
Above all else, Pam's greatest love was her family. Her husband, children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she was the glue that held them all together. She could often be found with a Pepsi in hand, doting on her grandchildren and making sure everyone felt loved and appreciated. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love will live on through the countless lives she touched. Pam's interests were diverse and brought her joy throughout her life. She loved to shop and was a regular at yard sales, always on the lookout for a great find. Her passion for the outdoors led her to enjoy camping trips with her family and friends, as well as participating in catfish derbies. Pam found solace in watching cooking videos on YouTube, particularly the Dougherty Dozen, where a mother of 12 shared her experiences with cooking, shopping. Amidst her busy life, Pam cherished her quiet moments, and although she was camera-shy, the photos that her family has of her are treasured keepsakes.
Pam was a loving, courageous, and thoughtful person who always put others before herself. Her warm smile and infectious laughter brightened the lives of everyone she encountered. She faced life's challenges with grace and determination, never backing down from a fight, and always emerging stronger. As Helen Keller once said, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart." Pam's love and kindness will forever be felt in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Pam is survived by her husband of nearly 35 years, Gregory L. Fredenburg, her children Steven Seargent, Raymond Rogers (Holly Dykins), Amber Swagler (Timothy Williams), Bobbi Jo Fredenburg (William Conklin), Michael Fredenburg (Kimmy Manuel), and Faith Fredenburg. She was a proud grandmother to Jameson, Joceylyn, Savannah, Jared, Kaleb, Mason, Landon, Jeremiah, Chrystianna, Natalyia, Joseph, Raelynn, Haylee, Mackenzie, Gavin, and Deziree. She is also survived by her brother, Roy Rogers Jr., sisters Tina Rogers and Hope Cole, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was welcomed into heaven by her parents; a grandson Steven Seargent III and a nephew Jacob Rogers.
As we remember and celebrate the memories of Pam, let us carry on her legacy of love and compassion, cherishing the memories and moments we shared with her. While she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit lives on in the hearts and minds of all those who loved her. Abiding with Pam’s wishes there will be no services. Pam will be laid to rest next to her parents in the Gibson Corners Cemetery. Memories may be shared by visiting her guestbook at www.sutfinfuneralchapel.com Rest in peace, dear Pam, and know that your love will continue to guide us, now and always.
