Softly in the morning, you heard a gentle call, you took the hand God offered you, and quietly left us all…..Patricia K. Cook, 64, of Reynolds Road, Rome, Pa passed away on Monday morning, January 17, 2011 at the Robert Packer Hospital. Patricia was born on August 5, 1946 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Duane and Elma Lane Kittle. She spent her youth living in Tunkhannock, Pa and at the age of twelve moved to Troy, Pa. She was a graduate of Troy High School Class of 1964. On March 20, 1965 at her parents home in Springfield, Pa Patricia married Everett S. Cook, Jr. and together they treasured 45 years of marriage. Patricia was devoted to her family and treasured the time spent with them. She volunteered in many ways for the organizations her children were active in, this included being a 4-H leader, Sunday School teacher and various activities at Northeast Bradford School. Patricia owned and operated her farm Melody meadows Jersey in Rome, Pa and when not farming, she was an avid reader. She had a great gift of cook and baking and often shared her talents with family and friends. Patricia and Everett often opened their home and hearts to area children whether it was hosting a spring party or having a Christmas gathering. Her greatest enjoyment and light of her life was being able to spend time with her grandchildren and was so proud to be able to share photos and their stories with those she met. Patricia is survived by her husband Everett S. Cook, Jr; daughters Kandi Cook (Dean Kundrata) of Apalachin, NY; Holli (Leon) Mosier of Rome, Pa; Traci (Robert) Chatterton of Windsor, NY; her mother Jane Roloson Kittle of Columbia Cross Roads, Pa; her grandchildren: Aubri and Allison Mosier, Lauren and Sarah Chatterton, Caitlyn and Dillon Kundrata; a sister Laura Kittle (Kenetta Andrews) of Williamsport, Pa; step sister Nancy (Pat) Savage of Lykes, Pa; step brothers Glenn (Pamela) Roloson of Osseo, Wisconsin; Richard (Rosemary) Roloson of Troy, Pa; sisters-in-law: Beverly Skalanka, Ruth Clark both of Watertown, CT; Sally Shielke of Naugatuck, CT; brother-in-law: John (Evelyn) Cook of South Carolina; her aunt Jane (Mike) Wiernusz of Tunkhannock, Pa; special friends Andy and Brenda Forbes, Frank, Leona and Missy Franklin; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and their families also survive. Patricia was predeceased by her father Duane Kittle in 2010; mother Elma Lane Kittle in 1977; a brother James Kittle in 1965; brother-in-law: Joseph Skolankia in 2003; mother-in-law and father-in-law Minnie and Everett S. Cook, Sr.; father Louis Maxwell in 1976 and her grandmother Helen Cronk in 1988. A time of remembering the special gift Patricia was to all of us will be held on Friday, January 21st at 1 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols with Rev. Kenneth Marple, of the Austinville Union Church, officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in the S. Litchfield Cemetery. A luncheon and time of sharing will be held at the Bumpville Bible Church following the services. A period of visitation will be held on Friday from 11 am until the time of the service at 1 pm.
