Phyllis A. Nemeth

Phyllis A. Nemeth, 79, of Colonial Drive, Towanda, Pa passed away on Wednesday evening, August 6, 2014 at the Bradford County Manor, following a period of declining health. Phyllis was born on June 5, 1935 a daughter of the late Lloyd and Sara (Kuykendall) Horton. She was a graduate of Nichols High School and attended the Elmira Business Institute. On November 10, 1956 she married George Nemeth, together they shared nearly 43 years of marriage until his passing on August 31, 1999. For many years, Phyllis and her husband George owned and operated Nemeth Office Supplies in Wysox. Phyllis was a devoted member of the Nichols Methodist Church where she actively participated with the United Methodist Women. She greatly enjoyed the time spent with her church family. Phyllis is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: George and Vicki Nemeth of Towanda; a daughter Phylann Russell and her fianc Claude White of Sayre; her grandchildren: Josh and Matt; great grandchildren: Scout and Mavrick; a brother Richard Horton of Ulster. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband George. Abiding with Phyllis' wishes, there will be no services. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in the North Orwell Cemetery.
