A mother holds her children's hands for a while….their hearts forever ~ Our loving mother and grandmother Phyllis M. Schuster, 77 of Litchfield (RR 1, Sayre, Pa) went home to be with her Lord and was reunited with her husband Pastor Richard H. Schuster on Saturday, May 31, 2008 following a brief period of declining health. Phyllis was born on May 11, 1931 in Dickson City, Pa a daughter of the late Phillip and Hannah Mary (Jones) Williams. She was a graduate of Dickson City High School and the Hahnemann School of Nursing (currently Community Medical Center of Scranton, PA.) Following graduation from nursing school Phyllis was employed at the Philadelphia Children's Hospital and Allentown General Hospital. On October 22, 1954 in Dickson City, Pa she married the love of her life and best friend Rev. Richard H. Schuster. Phyllis left nursing following the birth of her children and was a loving and caring mother to her children Linda and Thomas. In addition she also was a devoted Pastor's wife and was willing to assist him with his duties and share her love for the Lord. In June 1973, they moved with their family to Sayre and began their ministry together as they served several churches in Northeastern Pennsylvania and the Binghamton area. Phyllis enjoyed music and could often be found playing the organ at the Sayre, Litchfield and Athens United Methodist Churches. She treasured the time spent with family and loved to be surrounded by her grandchildren. Phyllis was a devoted Yankee's and Dallas Cowboy's fan. Phyllis is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Linda and Toby Campbell of Litchfield; her son and daughter-in-law: Thomas and Suky Schuster of Franklindale, Pa; special grandchildren: Ryan Kinner, Morgan Campbell, Lauren Campbell, Brandon Schuster and Rhys Schuster; her great grandson Chase Archibald. A brother-in-law and sister-in-law Edward and Jean Schuster of Auburn, Pa; several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families also survive. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Rev. Richard H.
