Prudence "Prudy" A. Wilson

A heart of gold stopped beating, two willing hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us….He only takes the best. Prudence A. Baker Wilson, 71, of West Warren, Pa passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, Pa. Prudy, as she was lovingly known by her family and friends was born on November 16, 1943 in Sayre, Pa, a daughter of the late Phylis (Clark) and Kenneth L. Baker. She was a graduate of Cowanseque Valley High School in Westfield, Pennsylvania class of 1961 and continued her education as a X-ray Technician. Prudy served as a x-ray technician for the Geisinger Hospital, Williamsport General Hospital and later Lourdes Hospital, until her life was blessed with her daughter Kimberly in 1976 and a son Marcus in 1977. On May 25, 1974, she married Howard A. Wilson and together they celebrated 40 years of marriage. Prudy was a member of the First Congregational Church of West Warren, where she actively participated with the West Warren Ladies Aid and was a Sunday School Teacher. In addition she also was a member of the Order of Eastern Star #498, the Warren Township Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, member and secretary of the North Orwell TOPS, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Holly Ho Red Hat Society. Although, most will remember her fondly for her serving as their Avon Representative for twenty-five years. She always looked forward to making her deliveries and visiting with her customers. Prudy enjoyed word searches, cross word puzzles, completing jigsaw puzzles, playing the piano, Bunko and attending her Card Parties. Her greatest pleasure was being surrounded by her family and friends. Prudy will be deeply missed by her husband of 40 years, Howard A. Wilson; her daughter and son-in-law: Kimberly and Matthew Connor of Wayne, Pa; her son and daughter-in-law: Marcus and Jennifer Wilson of Cadis, Pa; her special grandchildren: Jackson and Ella Connor; Christopher, Brandon and Ayden Wilson; her brother and sister-in-law: Kenneth and Judy Baker of South Williamsport, Pa; sister and brother-in-law: Patience and James Kroto of Erie, Pa; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: David and Sandy Wilson of Nokomis, Fl; Elaine and Michael McCann of Ashley, Pa; Edward and Pennie Wilson of West Warren, Pa; her nieces and nephews: Jackie Baker, Jared Kroto, Delanie (Brian) Crew, Kyle (Katie) Wilson, Eric McCann, Kreshel (Scott) Hakes, and Carrie Wilson; great niece and nephew: Cricket and Hawthorn Crew. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Friday, December 12th from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St. Nichols, NY Order of Eastern Star services will be conducted at 2 pm. Funeral services and a celebration of Prudy's life will be held on Saturday, December 13th at 1pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, with Pastor David Pitcher and Pastor Larry Jennings, officiating.
