Ralph E. Pitcher, 75, of RR 3, Rome, Pa passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at his home. Ralph was born on April 9, 1932 in Warren Center, Pa a son of the late Lloyd and Ava (Newman) Pitcher. Ralph was a veteran of the US Army and proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict. He was a devoted member of the West Warren Congregational Church where he served as Trustee and assisted at many Turkey Suppers. Ralph enjoyed hunting, fellowship at the Warren Center Senior Citizens and being the auctioneer for the Brown Bag Auctions. Ralph is survived by his wife Una R. Pitcher, son and daughter-in-law James and Pam Pitcher of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia; his faithful canine companion "Penny" ; brothers and sisters-in-law: Rodney and Margaret Pitcher of Warren Center, Pa; Darrell and Mary Pitcher of Cadis; sisters and brother-in-law: Joan and Earl Kuenzli of Warren Center, Linda and Jack Duffy of Warren Center, Pa; a grandson Eric and his wife Paige Pitcher; and he was looking forward to the arrival of his first great grandchild; several friends, nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Ralph was predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Ava Pitcher, a sister Joy Stephens. A memorial service and celebration of Ralph's life will be held on Saturday, February 16th at 11 am at the West Warren Congregational Church with his pastor Rev. David Pitcher, officiating. A luncheon and period of fellowship will follow the service. Memorial contributions may be directed to the West Warren Congregational Church.
