Decker, 84, of Windham, Pa passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016 following a battle with Cancer. Raymond was born on February 6, 1932 in Johnson City, NY to Raymond and Mary (Gifford) Rockefeller and was adopted and raised by Lloyd and Sybile Decker. He was a graduate of the Nicholson High School and following graduation he entered into the US Army. Raymond proudly served his country from 1955 to 1963. On June 22, 1963 he married Peggy Harding and together they have shared fifty-three years of marriage. Raymond was a long time employee of IBM. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage, spending time tending to his yard and treasured the time with his loving wife, Peggy. Raymond will be greatly missed by his wife Peggy; his children: Russell James (Kimberly Ruck) Decker of Endicott, NY; LaRita Rae (Paul) Schmitt of Vestal, NY; Michael Aaron and (Alisha) Decker of Virginia; Andrew Charles (Lynn) Decker of Rome, Pa; Christine May (Jason) Nolt of Rome, Pa; his sister: Margaret Fine of Shortsville, Pa; brother-in-law: Duane Harding; sister-in-law: Sharon E. Brown both of Rome, Pa; his grandchildren: Elizabeth Brown, Russell J. Decker, II, Joshua T. Decker, Julianna Wilt, Isaiah Decker, Matthew Raymond Jayne, Jesse Lee Jayne, Sean Jacob Jayne, Michelle Schmitt, Kevin Schmitt, Michael Schmitt, Kaine McCloe, Sadi Gillett, Ryan Nolt, Shayla Joan Decker, Mason Decker, Jacob Decker, Austin Decker, Aliyah Decker, Raven Nolt and Hayden Nolt; several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive. Raymond was predeceased by his parents, his mother-in-law and father-in-law: Theodore C. and Euleta M. Harding; a brother-in-law: Donald R. Harding, sisters: Pauline Eddy and Irene Babcock. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation and time of sharing memories on Friday, August 5th from 11 to 1 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A funeral service and celebration of his life will follow at 1pm with his Pastor William Kohler, officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at the Valley Home Cemetery.
