He traveled throughout the area as an Evangelist for several years. Pastor Ayers preached the Bible, enjoyed playing his guitar and singing for the Lord. For the last 20 years, he shared his love for the Lord by being the minister at Mountain Chapel Church in Owego. In addition, for the last thirty years he and several church members traveled to the Bradford County Manor once a month for worship services. He will be greatly missed by all but the Lord has gained a new member in his choir.
