January 15, 1926 — November 2, 2012

On Friday, November 2, 2012 Robert A. Burns, 86, crossed over to his heavenly home, there to meet Jesus his Lord and Savior and be reunited with Vivian his wife of 60 years. Bob is survived by his children: Robert and Linda Burns, Farmington, NY; Gary Burns of Ft. Mill, SC; John and Susan Burns; Nancy and Paul Moran all of Warren Center, PA; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren. Bob's siblings: Evelyn (Donald) Seaver, Daniel Burns, Rachel (Burt) Adams, Rebecca Weaver, Alta (Dominic) Iadicicco; his in-laws: Viva Smith, Ruth Smith, Lawrence and Lolly Smith; many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Bob was predeceased by his parents, his wife Vivian on August 10, 2009, siblings: Mary, Frank, Richard, Elzie, Paul and David. Bob was born on January 15, 1926 in Rochester, NY a son of the late Alton Frank and Anna Pearl (Inman) Burns. He proudly served his country with the US Army during WW II. Bob spent most of his life as a plumber and machinist. His devotion and love for his Lord lead him at the age of 83, to receive his Ministry License from the Pentecostal Holiness Conference. Bob had a great care and compassion for others, he was a companion to the disabled at the Broome Developmental Center and he always looked forward to his weekly visits to share scripture and prayers with those in prison. His kindness and love will live forever in our hearts. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation today, November 7th from 4 to 7 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A period of visitation will also be held on Thursday, from 10 to 11 am at the funeral chapel. Funeral services and a celebration of Bob's life will be held at 11 am with Pastor Kevin Stezer. Interment will follow in the Warren Center Cemetery. Those who wish may kindly consider a memorial contribution to the Light House Pentecostal Holiness Church, Highway 21, Fort Mill, SC 29715 in loving memory of Robert A. Burns.
