Robert "Bob" M. Senatore

Robert M. Senatore, 80, of Rome, PA and formerly of Montville, New Jersey, passed away following a period of declining health on Monday, September 28, 2009 at the Robert Packer Hospital. Bob was born on October 2, 1928 in Newark, NJ, a son of the late Mario and Mary (Stoeckel) Senatore. Bob was employed by Curtiss-Wright Flight Systems for 38 years, starting as a machinist and ending his career as manufacturing manager. Following his retirement, Bob and Rosemarie moved to Rome, PA where they enjoyed his dream of farming for the last 21 years. He was a 30 year member of the Montville Township First Aid Squad, a founding member of Dept. 28, served with the National Guard, and was a member of St. John the Evangelist RC Church in South Waverly, PA. Bob is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rosemarie (Peter) Senatore; his children: Kathleen and Gerard Canino, Bruce and Barbara Senatore, Neil and Melissa Senatore, Andrea and Leon Senatore Roszkowski, Adrienne and Steven Senatore Below, and Traci and Edward Senatore May. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren: Renee Dann, Adam Dann, Michele Sampson, Robert Senatore II, Steven Senatore, Amee Replogle, Natalie Senatore, Kyle Senatore, Dillon Senatore, Taylor Senatore, Adam Roszkowski, Sasha Roszkowski, Alek Roszkowski, Jacob Below, Greer Below, Christopher Abate, Allyson Abate; and three great grandchildren: Nicholas Sampson, Michael Sampson, and Ava Sampson. Bob was predeceased by his daughter Robin Dann, a son Terrance Senatore and two brothers: John and Vincent Senatore. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 2nd, 2009 at 9:30 am at St. John the Evangelist RC Church, with Father Vincent Langan officiating. A period of visitation and time of sharing memories will be held on Thursday, October 1st from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols, NY.
