Robert "Rubin" L. Bellis

Softly in the morning, you heard a gentle call, you took the hand God offered you, and quietly left us all…..Robert L. Bellis, 54, of Ellis Creek Rd., Waverly passed away on Monday morning, December 31, 2012. Affectionately known by his family and friends as "Rubin", he was born on November 16, 1958 in Waverly, a son of Gloria and the late Wayne E. Bellis, Sr. Rubin was a graduate of Tioga Central High School. A well-known and respected business owner, Rubin owned and operated R.L. Bellis Excavating for nearly 25 years. He was an avid NASCAR fan, loved working and being surrounded by his family and friends. In addition to his mother Gloria, Rubin is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Jennifer and Paul Goodwin of Barton, son and daughter-in-law: Joshua and Wendy Bellis of Waverly; his long time companion of 17 years, Kate Vallequette and her children: Misty Ann Vallequette and Kristi Sue Vallequette all of Waverly; his brothers and sister-in-law: Wayne Jr. and Janene Bellis; David Bellis, Sr., brother-in-law: Richard Coyle all of Waverly; his grandchildren: Ashley, Ondrea and Hannah; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his canine companion "Minnie Pearl" Rubin was predeceased by his father Wayne E. Bellis and his sister Shari Ann Coyle. Family and friends are invited to attend a time of sharing and fellowship on Saturday, January 5th 2013 from 1-3 pm at the home of Wayne and Barb Shipman's.
