Robert W. Arnold

Robert W. Arnold, 86, of Ulster, Pa (Rome Township) passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at his home holding the hand of his loving wife. Robert was born on June 5, 1931 in Litchfield, Pa one of twelve children to Harry and Cora (Brenchley) Arnold. On July 15, 1950 he married Alfreda M. Snyder and together they have shared sixty-seven years of marriage. For over thirty years, Bob was employed by Nichols Agway as a truck driver. He enjoyed deer hunting, square dancing, cruising to Bermuda, New Zealand and together with Alfreda they traveled to every state but North Dakota. Bob will be greatly missed by his wife: Alfreda at home; his children: Christine (Michael) Gowan; Gary Arnold (Linda Arnold); and Connie (John) Morgenstern all of Athens, Pa. His sister Hettie Rinker of Rome, Pa; sister-in-law: Vivian C. Arnold of Litchfield, Pa. His grandchildren: Linda (Ron) Smith, Jennifer (Rick) Chilson, Jason (Alicia) Arnold; great grandchildren: Ryan Smith, Nicole Chilson, Matthew Chilson, Hannah Arnold Malacci Ham, Tucker Ham, and Zacceri Warner; many nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Bob was predeceased by his parents, his siblings; Claude Arnold, Walter Arnold, Wallace Arnold, Willis Arnold, Harry Arnold, Lloyd Arnold, Clyde Arnold, Alice Bellis, Doris Maslin and Mae French. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service for Bob on Monday, November 27th at 1 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols with Pastor C. Kenneth Crain, officiating.
