When I come to the end of the road, and the sun has set for me, remember the love that we have shared, and that will comfort thee….Roberta Marie Seymour, 82, of Tioga Center passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 in Bradenton, Florida. Roberta was born on November 6, 1931 in Cherry Tree, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Mathew Henry and Rachel (Rummel) Clevenger. Roberta lived life to the fullest, enjoyed visiting with others and dining out with her friends. She will be greatly missed by her daughter and son-in-law Valerie and Dennis Platt of Nichols; her grandchildren: Lawrence R. (Michelle) Seymour; Mathew (Michelle) Seymour; great grandchildren: Matthew and Jackson. Several nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Roberta was predeceased by her son Lawrence R. Seymour; daughter Vonda Lee Seymour; brother Leonard Clevenger and sister Ruth Wood. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Saturday, April 12th from 10 to 11 am at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A memorial service will follow at 11 am with Pastor Dan Martin, officiating. A luncheon and time of sharing will follow the service at the Nichols American Legion. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in the Tioga Cemetery, Owego.
