Ronald Eugene Moore

of Potterville, Pa

Ronald “Ron” Eugene Moore, 60, of Potterville, PA passed away Friday morning, September 20th, 2024 after nearly a decade of battling cancer. He is now reunited with the love of his life Victoria E. Moore, who passed away on June 30th, 2023. The couple married on August 30th, 2008 and spent nearly 15 happy years together. Ron was also a loving father, grandpa and friend to many.

Ron was born September 22, 1963 a son of Kenneth Moore, Jr. and Glenda Tobin Moore. He was a 1982 graduate of Northeast Bradford High School. He went on to become the proud owner and operator of Ron Moore Siding and Construction for over 35 years.

In 2015, Ron was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer, but he never let it slow him down. He still continued to enjoy life to the fullest. Those that knew Ron would best describe him as being tough like no other, having the heart of a lion and being as stubborn as a mule. But also being the guy that would give you the shirt off his back in a heartbeat.

Ron enjoyed many things in his life, from hunting, fishing and camping, to building and racing his newest found hobby of RC cars with his friends. During racing season Ron could be found at a number of dirt car tracks sitting in corner 4 with his buddies Vern Carr and “Fluff”, Calvin Eddy. He also spent time at Haighs Pond cruising around in his lime green golf cart, also know as “The Flintstone Mobile”. Most Thursday nights were spent at the Pond with special friends around a campfire, playing cornhole and sharing fun times, which became affectionately known as “church”. Most importantly, Ron liked to spend his time having fun with friends and family.

Ron held loving and precious memories of a trip last year to Tennessee with his wife, Vicky, to visit her favorite Aunt Dawn. He felt blessed to have been able to share that time with her. After losing Vicky, Ron said he would live life for both of them. So last winter he took his favorite canine companion, Trixie and spent the winter in Florida because as Winnie the Pooh said, “If there ever comes a day where we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever”. He kept Vicky in his heart every day from the day she left him.

Ron is survived by his son Declan (Mikailyn) Erle, grandchildren Harper and Waylon. His mother, Glenda (Donald) Moore, father, Kenneth (Lorrie) Moore, brothers, Gary (Kathy) Moore, Lee (Robin) Moore, sister, Brenda Zajac, sister-in-law, Betty Moore. Stepchildren, Jesse (Casey) Ransom, Becky (John) Kolesar, Leonard Kobbe III, Lindsey (Bryan) Rought, step- grandchildren, Myla Ransom, Brooke Kolesar, Madison Kobbe, Christopher and Henry Rought. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will be greatly missed by special and close friends Chris and Penny Carr, Vern Carr, Calvin Eddy, and Scott Rifenberg, and many more too long to list.

Ron was predeceased by his wife Victoria Ellis Moore, Brother Glenn Moore, paternal grandparents, Kenneth T. and Ruth A. Moore, maternal grandparents, Glenn and Esther Tobin, Aunt Lynda (Tobin) Honnick, Uncle Warren Tobin and brother-n-law Jim Zajac.
