Rosemary A. Hurd

Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed, so very dear.....Rosemary A. Hurd, 66, of Harding Road, Waverly, NY passed away Wednesday morning, March 15, 2017 at her home. Rosemary was born on January 10, 1951 in Waverly, a daughter of the late Frank "Dub" and Dorothy (Nichols) Wilson. On March 29, 1969, she married Thomas H. Hurd and together they made Waverly their home. An avid Facebook enthusiast, Rosemary enjoyed staying in touch with her family and playing games. Although she is gone, she is not forgotten for her spirit lives within our hearts. Rosemary is survived by her husband of nearly 48 years, Thomas H. Hurd; her sons: Scott Hurd; Bryan and his wife Anna Hurd all of Waverly; her grandchildren: Quinton, Jocelynn, Brynn, Bryan, Thomas, Daryl and Brayden; her brother Robert "Bobby" (Laurie) Wilson; her sisters: Jane (Jerry) Bennett; Lena Anderson, Linda Jellif (David O'Brien); Aloa (Clarence) Croak; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Debra (Keith) Tucker; Jenny (Benny) Hoppe; Kevin (Cathy) Hurd; brother-in-law: Stacy Hurd; many nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Rosemary was welcomed into heaven by her parents Frank and Dorothy Wilson; her brother Frank Wilson; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Harold H. and Wilma M. (Buchanan) Hurd. Friends and family are invited to attend a period of visitation on Saturday, March 18th from 2 to 3 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols, NY. A funeral service and celebration of her life will follow at 3 pm with Pastor Frank Wasielewski, officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in the Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
