Roy O. Bolton

A life well lived is a precious gift, of hope and strength and grace, from someone who has made our world a brighter, better place…Roy Olyn Bolton, 72, of Sawmill Road, LeRaysville, PA, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014 at the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Towanda Memorial Hospital. Roy was born on March 18, 1942 in Rome, Pa a son of the late Lena and Elmer A. Bolton. For over 18 years, Roy worked for C.C. Allis & Sons in the saw mill. He also assisted his brothers Ray and Earl in the operation of the family farm. Roy was a hardworking, well-known and respected farmer ~ he will be remembered for his kind heart and willingness to assist and lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Roy enjoyed planting potatoes, farming and attending sales with his twin brother Ray. Roy will be greatly missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law: Edward and Mary Ann Bolton of Warren Center, Pa; Darius A. and Joyce Bolton of Ulster; his twin brother Ray Bolton; sisters Betty Yanavitch of LeRaysville, Pa; Dora Landers of Towanda, Pa and a sister-in-law: Ann Bolton of Wynne, Ark; several nieces, nephews and their families also survive; along with his faithful canine companions Ebo and Charlie. Roy was predeceased by his parents, Lena and Elmer Bolton; and an infant sister Reda Bolton, brothers Cleatis Bolton of Binghamton, NY; and Ralph Bolton of Germantown, Tennessee and Earl L. Bolton of LeRaysville. Family and friends are invited to attend graveside services on Monday, June 2, 2014 at 1 pm at the Darling Cemetery.
