Sandra M. Wilmot

Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed, so very dear…. Sandra M. Wilmot, 76, of Rome, Pa passed away on Thursday evening, May 30th, 2019 following a courageous battle with Crohn's Disease. Sandy, as she was known by her family and friends was born October 3, 1942 in Binghamton, NY a daughter of the late Albert and Arlene Devine Bennett. For many years, Sandy owned and operated a gift shop and opened her home and Bed and Breakfast for Santa's Sleigh Ride. She was very talented at creating crafts and decorations for others to enjoy. Sandy enjoyed visiting with those who would visit her shop, spending time in her flower gardens and was proud to call Rome her home. A caring and loving women, Sandy was always willing to lend a hand and help anyone in need. Sandy will be missed by her husband Robert J. Wilmot; her son and daughter-in-law: Randy and Sue Blaisure; her grandchildren: Bill (Carrie) Blaisure and Tom Blaisure; siblings: Sherry Brown, Diane (Bob) Strait, Curtis (Jolee) Bennett, Albert Bennett and James (Paula) Bennett; brothers-in-law: Manley (Olga) Wilmot and Philip (Julie) Wilmot; sister-in-law: Pat (Phil) Beckwith. Many nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Abiding with Sandy's wishes, services will be held at the convenience of the family.
