Sharron L. Altieri

If we could have one lifetime wish, one dream that could come true , we'd wish with all our hearts, for yesterday and you......Our hearts were broken on Friday, April 7th, 2017 with the sudden passing of our wife, mother, grandmother Sharron L. Altieri, 69, of Sayre, Pa. Sharron was born on May 24, 1947 in Hobart, NY a daughter of the late John Ross and Vida Elizabeth (Adock) Pardy. She was a graduate of the Rochester School for the Deaf class of 1966. On April 20, 1968 in Hobart, NY she married William F. Altieri and together they have shared nearly 49 years. Devoted to her family, Sharron also enjoyed watching soap operas, making canvas crafts and connecting with friends online. She was active in the deaf community especially the Southern Tier Deaf Association. Her smile and her gentle ways will always be remembered. Those left to cherish Sharron's memory are, her husband William F. Altieri of Sayre, Pa; her daughter and son-in-law: Cheryl and Matthew Strope of West Warren, Pa; her son and daughter-in-law: James and Bethany Altieri of Smithfield, Pa; her special grandchildren: Kaylynn LaMontane (Joe Ceely) of Athens, Pa; Calvin and Clayton Strope of West Warren, Pa Jaymz Altieri; her sisters: Jeanette Sheppard of Saranac Lake; Mary Ziegal of California; her brother and sister-in-law: John and Carolyn Pardy of Catskill, NY; sister-in-law: Delores Bradley of Sayre, Pa; brother-in-law: John and Carolyn Altieri of Waverly, NY; several nieces, nephews and their families also survive; and her beloved cat Kelly. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Thursday, April 13th from 4 to 6 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A memorial service and celebration f her life will follow at 6 pm with Pastor David Pitcher of the West Warren Congregational Church, officiating.
