Sherry Lynn Chaffee

Sherry Lynn Chaffee, 59, a resident of Ideal Senior Living, Endicott, NY and formerly of Apalachin, NY passed away on Friday, August 31, 2007. She was born on March 11, 1948 in Endicott, NY the daughter of the late Doris (Hills) and Arthur Scovell. Sherry enjoyed cooking, caning and watching scary movies among them "Twilight Zone". Sherry's greatest enjoyment came when she would babysit and having her family visit her. She is survived by her children: Victoria and her husband Bryan Wiggins of Owego, NY; Maureen and her husband Henry Christ of Greene, NY; Christina Chaffee of Tioga Center, NY; Victor and his wife Patricia Chaffee of Newark Valley, NY; her brothers and sisters-in-law: Larry and Joyce Scovell of Keene, NY; Hary Scovell of Nichols, NY; sisters and brothers-in-law: Donna and Gerry Short, of Mesa, AZ; Lois and David Housen of Alfred, NY; Brenda and Clifford Fuller of Apalachin, NY; her eight special grandchildren: Erica and Joel Palmer, Samantha and Jason Dye, Danielle Cressman, Brad and Luke Chaffee, Ashley and Alexalee Chaffee; three great grandchildren Hope and Darren Palmer, Marah Dye. Her aunt and uncle Donald and Vivian Scovell; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Sherry was predeceased by her parents, and a brother Keith Scovell. A time of remembering the special gift Sherry was to all of us will be held on Tuesday, September 4th at 2 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 South Main St., Nichols. Rev. Laurence Mather, OSL and pastor of the Tioga Center United Methodist Church, will officiate. A period of visitation and sharing memories will be held at the funeral chapel from 1 pm until the time of the service.
