Stacy E. Gorney

Stacy E Gorney, 51, of Spencer NY passed away peacefully at home on September 2nd surrounded by love, after her long, courageous battle with cancer. Stacy was born on April 19th 1971 to Steve and Sharon (Gillingham) Gorney. Stacy enjoyed spending quality time with her most beloved family and friends. She had the most infectious smile, and kindest heart. She will forever be remembered for her kindness to those around her. She had the most uncanny way of reaching people and touching their souls in the most deep, positive way. Although her wings were ready for her, many of our hearts were not. She is predeceased by her son, Johnothan, and her grandmother, Bernice. She is survived by the love of her life, Carl Bensley and their 6 beautiful children. Forrest (Janine) Ashcraft, Emilie (Stephen) Decker, Breonna Smith, Anastasia (Zackery) Ulrich, Avery and Logan Bensley, her 6 beloved grandchildren ; Katelyn, Isabelle, Forrest II, Paisley, Kingston and Zachery, her loving parents (Sharon and John Gillingham and Steve Gorney), her beautiful sisters and brother and their families (Anne Peck, Crystal Marek, Jen Novak, and David Mosher) many nieces and nephews, amongst some of her best friends. Stacy was a beautiful human, and she will be deeply missed by those around her. She may be gone from us physically, but we will continue to thank her for the sweet, soft things she has left behind in our homes, minds and hearts.

We will gather on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 2 - 6 pm at Ransom Park, Tioga Center to remember and celebrate the special gift Stacy was to all of us.
