Stanley Kenneth Folk

No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew it…and only God knows why…..Our hearts were broken on Sunday, January 28, 2018 with the sudden and unexpected passing of our loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother and uncle Stanley Kenneth Folk, 71, of Windham Township, (Rome, Pa.) Stanley was born on June 5, 1946 in Waverly, NY a son of the late Kenneth and Dorothea (French) Folk. He was a graduate of Northeast Bradford High School class of 1964. For over twenty-eight years, Stanley worked as a heavy equipment operator and supervisor for F.S. Lopke in Owego. He enjoyed hunting and country living on Osborn Hill. A pillar of strength, Stanley also was a "jack of all trades" and could find comfort in tinkering in his garage. His greatest treasure was being surrounded by his family. Stanley will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 45 years Audrey (Satterlee) Folk; his children: Annette (Brian) Thomas of N. Stonington, CT; Todd (Yvonne) Folk of Rome, PA; Leah (Robert) Wiggins of Elm City, NC; his special grandchildren: Stacy Fowle, Michael Aycock, Alan (Brittinee) Folk, Tyler Tayler, Caitlyn (Mikal) Thies, Joey Malcamas, Reid Thomas. His great grandchildren: Willow Fowle, David Aycock, Colten Crotsley and Kadence Aycock. His brothers and sisters: Elmer (Mary) Folk of Fort Wayne, IN; Douglas (Lucille) Folk of Rome, Pa; Janice Briggs of Nichols, NY; Karen Hunsinger of Nichols. Audrey's extended family and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Stanley was predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Dorothea Folk. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 5 to 8 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A funeral service and celebration of his life will be held on Friday, February 2nd at 1 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel with Pastor Steven McElwain, officiating. Spring interment will be held in the Nichols Cemetery.
