Stephen B. Hazard

No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why.....Stephen B. Hazard, 58, of Waverly, NY passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 in Hornell, NY. Steve was born on December 25, 1954 in Sayre, PA a son of the late Melvin and Clarice (Whipple) Hazard. He was a graduate of Tioga Central High School Class of 1973 and enlisted into the US Navy following graduation. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fellowship with his friends at the Tioga Country Club. He treasured the time spent with his family and was an avid coin collector. Steve was employed at Pharmalogic in Sayre, Pa for the last several years. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Peggy Sue Hazard; daughter Chelsea Hazard; grandson and the light if his life, Julian Cole all of Waverly, NY; his siblings: John Hazard; David and Debbie Hazard all of Nichols; Martin "Marty" Hazard of Owego; Mary and Bill Ryan of Windham, Pa; brother-in-law Bryan Yanney; aunt and uncle Romaine and Bjarne Olsen of Florida; several nieces, nephews, many special friends among them John Kelsall. Steve was predeceased by his parents Melvin and Clarice Hazard. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Tuesday, December 17th from 4 to 6 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. Funeral services and a celebration of his life will followat 6pm with Pastor Dan Martin, officiating. Interment and prayers of committal will be held at the convenience of the family on Wednesday, December 18th in the Tioga Point Cemetery.
