Thad Eugene Maryott

Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end….they simply mean we will miss you until we meet again ~ Thad Eugene Maryott, 47, of Rome Twp., and Waverly, NY passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2014 following a courageous battle with Cancer. Thad was born on December 22, 1966 in Waverly, NY a son of Wilbert and Sylvia (Moore) Maryott. He was a graduate of Northeast Bradford High School class of 1985. Thad was a long time employee for Simmons-Rockwell as a ASE-Certified mechanic. An avid racer, Thad enjoyed participating in Harescrambles and enjoyed watching his son Grant participate in the sport as well. Although his greatest pleasure was being with his children. Thad, you left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, tho' we cannot see you, your always by our side. Thad will be greatly missed by his fianc, Cindy Carbone of Waverly; his parents Wilbert and Sylvia Maryott of Rome, PA; his children: Grant Maryott of Ulster, Owen Maryott of Waverly, and Marah J. Maryott of Dryden; a brother Reed (Janie) Maryott of Ulster; Angela (Harold) Smith of Williamsport, Pa; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and Cindy's extended family, her parents Lorraine and Dan; siblings Stan and Jeff. Thad was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents and a step son Paul J. Carbone in 2007. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Thursday, December 18th from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. Funeral services and a celebration on Thad's life will be held on Friday, December 19th at 1pm at the funeral chapel with Pastor Larry D. Jennings, officiating. Interment and prayers of committal will follow in the Bumpville Cemetery.
