Theresa Rockwell passed away peacefully and went with her Savior on February 24, 2009 at the Sayre House in Sayre, PA, at the age of 92. Theresa Anna Brainard Rockwell was born on the Brainard Century Farm in Warren Township on June 15, 1916, the daughter of Jesse Albert & Frances Theresa Dewing Brainard. She graduated from the Warren Center Grade School in 1933. Theresa went on to graduate from Towanda High School, Class of 1934. She was a life-long member of the Warren Center Methodist Church. Theresa lived on the Family Farm Homestead in Jackson Valley, Susquehanna County, PA., working side by side with her husband on the farm, while raising seven children to adulthood. After losing her husband in 1975, she then lived alone on the farm, until poor health would no longer allow her to stay alone. Theresa's whole life was devoted to her family, her church, and raising her children. In the fall of 2002, she moved to the Towanda Memorial Personal Care Home, where she was known for her witty sense-of-humor. In November of 2007, she moved to the "Sayre House" skilled nursing home in Sayre, PA. A special thank you to all the caring angels at the Towanda PCH & the Sayre House, for the care and love you gave to mom will always be treasured with us.
