Thomas "Jr" J. Goodenow, Jr.

Thomas J. Goodenow, Jr., 85 , a resident of the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Towanda Memorial Hospital, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2009 two days following his 85th birthday. He was born on June 4, 1924 a son of Thomas Joseph and Lottie S. (Stetson) Goodenow. Affectionately known and remembered as Jr., by his family and friends he was employed for Wysox Township as a highway maintenance employee. Jr enjoyed trucking with his son and seeing the United States countryside. He is survived by his children: William Goodenow, Tom Goodenow, Mike Goodenow, Mary Jo Benjamin and Thomas Goodenow; a special grandson and caregiver David Benjamin and family; several step children; a sister Kate O'Connor; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jr. was predeceased by his parents Thomas J. and Lottie Goodenow, and brothers: Dick and Connie. Family and friends are invited to attend graveside services on Wednesday, June 10th at 12 noon at the Darling Cemetery.
