Thomas Sinclair

Thomas Sinclair, Jr. 93, of Donald Road, Barton, NY went home to be reunited with his loving wife on Thursday, October 20, 2011. Thomas was born on December 17, 1917 in Glasgow, Scotland the son of the late Margaret (Paton) and Thomas Sinclair, Sr. He was a veteran of the US Navy and proudly served his country during World War II. Following an honorable discharge, Thomas was employed at the New York Port Authority as a police officer for twenty years . On April 21, 1946 he married Cecile Davis and together they celebrated sixty-five years of marriage. Tom will be remembered by many for his hard work and handyman capabilities. Tom was predeceased by his wife Cecile on July 25, 2011 and is survived by his daughters and son-in-law: Nancy and Milton Kemp of Barton; Betty Sinclair of Barton; grandchildren: Thomas (Melissa) Kemp; David (Brenda) Kemp; Sarah (Heath) Bennett; great grandchildren: Kennedy and Mackenzie Hill; Natalie Kemp and Tyler Bennett; his sister Ruby Colvin; several nieces; a nephew and their families also survive. Funeral services and a celebration of Thomas' life will be held on Monday, October 24, 2011 at 3 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols with Pastor Dennis King, officiating. Interment will follow in the Smithboro Cemetery. A period of visitation and time of sharing memories will be held on Monday from 1 to 3 pm the funeral chapel.
