Trevor Scott Briggs

May 31, 1966 — December 6, 2023

Trevor Scott Briggs,

December 6, 2023, was a great day of rejoicing as Trevor Scott Briggs met his Lord and Savior. Born on May 31, 1966, a son of the late Merland Briggs and Carolyn (Parks) Russell. Trevor was a man of exceptional skill and devotion to God.

Trevor is survived by his wife Sandra, his son Nicholas (Caitlin Johnson) Briggs, his siblings Shelley (Rod) Ford, Brenda (Matt) Walters, Wendy Base, Cory (Stacey) Russell, Aaron (Sarah Blair) Russell and Sabrina (Courtney) Einsla, his stepfather Dewey Russell, his adored nieces and nephews: Josh (Jen), Justin (Dlouisa), Sierra (Anthony), Courtney (Calvin), Hannah, Wyatt, Waylon, Stormy, McKenzie (Cody), Kiah, Elizabeth, Devon, and Sawyer, and 13 great nieces and nephews. His cherished aunts Judy (Dick) Tobbe, Sandy (Walt) Robinson, Penny (Roy) Peterman, Deb Parks, and Cindy Millard, his mother-in-law Elaine, and sisters-in-law Mary and June.

In addition to his parents,

Trevor was reunited with his grandparents Daryl and Doris Parks and Ed and Bernita French, his uncle's James Parks, Donald Parks, and Rusty Briggs, an aunt Barbara Briggs and his cousin Jim Parks.

After graduating from Northeast Bradford School District in 1984, Trevor bravely served his country as a Marine. His time in the service was marked by notable achievements, including a memorable climb up Mount Fuji while stationed in Okinawa. His experiences in the Marines not only shaped his character but also instilled in him a sense of discipline and commitment that he carried throughout his life.

After his honorable discharge from the military, Trevor attended a trade school for HVAC, leading him to starting his business as owner and operator of Briggs Heating and Cooling, a business that thrived under his leadership until his well-earned retirement in 2019.

Trevor's intelligence was matched only by his handiness. There was no task too daunting, no repair too complex for him to tackle. He was the quintessential handyman, always ready with the right tool and the knowledge to fix any problem.

Always farm-boy at heart, Trevor always appreciated his Aunt Sandy “doctoring” him up from his most recent farming mishap. As he grew older, he took great pride in helping his nieces and nephews at the farm show and prepping the cows. Many ribbons were awarded because of his advice and devotion to the craft.

With family being of significant importance to Trevor, many will miss his whit during the annual family reunion at ‘Pops Dream,’ especially during the renowned trivial pursuit competition.

A devout Christian, Trevor's faith was the cornerstone of his life. His love and belief in Jesus were evident in his actions and his unwavering integrity. He lived his life as a testament to his faith, helping create an “All Sinners Welcome” men’s prayer group, that would meet around a neighbor's fire pit. Trevor helped install a water system.

during his mission trip to Cameroon, Africa; a trip that he would later consider a life-changing and uplifting event.

Trevor was well known “Prepper” devoting his spare time to the construction of “Curmudgen Mountain” his off-grid property. He was always thrilled to show off his accomplishments to any “Yankees” who came down for a visit.

Trevor's interests and hobbies were as varied as his talents. Whether he was fine-tuning a heating system or engaging in a deep conversation about his faith, he approached every activity with passion and enthusiasm. His presence was a blessing, and his absence will be deeply felt by the many lives he touched.

Trevor was laid to rest on December 14, 2023, in Quantico, VA, where military honors were accorded. Memories and condolences can be shared in his guestbook at sutfinfuneralchapel.com.
