Veronica A. Macdonald

Veronica A. MacDonald, 85, of Taylor Ave., Nichols, passed away Tuesday morning, November 15, 2011. Veronica was born on January 19, 1926 in Syracuse, NY one of eleven children to Stephen and Mary (Schonbaum) Krisak. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be greatly missed by her family. Veronica enjoyed golfing, cooking, shopping, knitting and visiting with the customers that would come to Dad's Ice Cream Shop. She will be remembered by her grandchildren as "the best grandma in the whole world" Veronica is survived by her husband of 52 years, Richard C. MacDonald; daughter and son-in-law: Mary and Joaquin Echeverria; sons and daughters-in-law: Daniel and Anne MacDonald; Richard Charles and Maryhelen MacDonald. Her special grandchildren: Daniel, Sebastian, Veronica, Sarah, Stephanie (Adam), Christopher, Sophia, Scotty; Katrina, Amanda, Zachary, Michael, Lauren and Jenna; great grandchildren: Mason, Riley and Jocelyn; numerous nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Veronica was predeceased by her parents and ten siblings. Family and friends are invited to attend a time of sharing and period of visitation on Thursday, November 17th from 2 to 4 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. Funeral services will follow at the conclusion of calling hours with Deacon Michael Donovan, officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in the Nichols Cemetery.
