Softly in the morning, you heard a gentle call, you took the hand God offered you and quietly left us all…

Vivien Sue Foster, 69, of Tioga Center, NY passed away on Sunday morning, October 30, 2022 at her home. Vivien was born on January 4, 1953 in Endicott, NY a daughter of the late Melvin L. and Thena Mae (Warren) Walter. She was a graduate of Vestal High School class of 1971. A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Vivien was so proud of her daughter and granddaughter’s accomplishments. She was a talented quilter, loved to sew and was a marvelous baker. Her treats of cookies, cakes and sweets will be so missed during these upcoming holidays. Vivien also had a tender heart and found great companionship with her cats and rescued many animals too. She will be remembered for her love of plants and could make anything grow.

Vivien will be greatly missed by her daughter Michelle Snedeker; her granddaughter Kiersten Snedeker; her companion and caregiver Daniel Burlingame; her brothers Melvin Walter, Jr.  and Ray Walter; her sisters Dolly Lou and Gloria Jeffrey; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Vivien was welcomed home to heaven by her infant daughter Melissa Ann Foster and a brother George Walter.
