Walter H. Brown

Walter H. Brown, 83, of North Orwell, Pa passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 following a period of declining health. Walter was born at home in Black, PA a son of the late Morris O. and Ada (Blackman) Brown. He attended school in Towanda and for many years owned and operated a family dairy farm. Walter is survived by his sister Mildred Gavitt of Barton, NY; his sisters-in-law Marion Beckwith of Athens, Norma Milner of North Orwell, Pa; and Sarah Tyrrell of Rome, Pa. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families also survive. He was predeceased by his first wife Theresa in 1965, his second wife Leona I. (Tyrrell) Brown in 2001; his son Richard Walter Brown in 2007, and siblings Hilda Brown and Robert Brown. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service and celebration of his life on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at 3 pm at the North Orwell Union Church with his pastor Rev. K. Ben Robinson, officiating. A private family interment will be held at the St. Patrick's Cemetery, Owego.
