Warren J. Roberts of Neath, PA

Warren John Roberts, aged 89, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, at the Sayre Health Care Center. Born on November 18, 1935, in Binghamton, NY, Warren's life was a testament to his loving, kind, and faith-filled spirit.

Warren's journey began as the cherished son of the late William "Carl" and Harriet (Stetler) Roberts. He grew up surrounded by a close-knit family, which included his half-sisters Sherry Silvernail and Shirley Maressca. Warren was predeceased by his siblings, Joseph (Helen) Roberts, Gerald Roberts, and Brenda Shave, along with his half brother Fred Silvernail.

The true love of Warren's life was his devoted wife, Janice (Brink) Roberts. Their union on June 4, 1961, was the beginning of a beautiful partnership that would endure for over six decades. Their family grew with the addition of their son, Billy Roberts, who sadly preceded Warren in death.   Warren was a proud graduate of LeRaysville High School class of 1954. His dedication to his country was evident when he enlisted in the US Marines on September 11, 1956. He served honorably until September 10, 1959, carrying the values of discipline and commitment through all his endeavors.

Together with Janice, Warren owned and operated a family dairy farm for 30 years, a testament to their hard work and dedication to the community. After selling the farm in 1988, Warren continued to apply his skills as a knowledgeable electrician, working for Nelson's Lamplighters in Vestal for 18 years. During his work, with Nelson’s Lamplighters Warren and his fellow employees shared his love for the Lord as a Missionary in Chad, Africa for six months.

Warren's interests were as varied as they were passionate. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, often found at the pond in Neath. His love for the skies was evident in his pilot’s license, which he held until 2000. Warren and Janice were also active participants in the senior citizens' activities in Warren Center and Nichols. His commitment to his faith was clear through his membership at the South Warren Community Church and his involvement with the Civil Air Patrol.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Janice, his half-sisters Sherry and Shirley, a loving and supportive nephew Tom Roberts; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Fay and Patricia Brink, Joyce and Robert Taylor, and several nieces, nephews who were touched by his generosity and warmth.  Warren lived by the belief that "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing," a quote often attributed to Edmund Burke. This philosophy was reflected in every aspect of his life, from his military service to his active involvement in his church and community.

Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Tuesday, June 17th from 10 -11 am at the South Warren Community Church. A funeral service and celebration of his life will follow at 11 am with his pastor, Rev. Chip Romeo, officiating. Warren will be laid to rest in the Neath Cemetery.  Memories and condolences may be shared by visiting his guestbook at www.sutfinfuneralchapel.com Those who wish may kindly consider a memorial contribution to The Michael J.
