Wayne E. Bellis Sr.

Wayne E. Bellis, Sr., 79, of Barton, New York passed away on Monday morning, July 23, 2012 following a period of declining health. Wayne was born on February 20, 1933 in Easton, Pa a son of the late Roy and Elsie Bellis. He proudly served his country with the US Marines until he was called home to assist with the operation of the family dairy farm. On October 29, 1954, he married Gloria Hemmingway and together they made Barton their home where they owned and operated the family farm on Ross Hill. Wayne is survived by his wife Gloria of nearly 57 years, his sons and daughters-in-law: Wayne and Janene Bellis, Jr., of Barton; Robert and Kate Bellis of Waverly; David Bellis of Barton; son-in-law: Richard Coyle of Barton; former daughter-in-law Sharyl Bellis of Tioga Center; sister-in-law Mina Bellis of Barton; brother-in-law: Ross Mandeville of Barton; grandchildren: Miranda (Brian) Szymanski, Joshua Bellis, Jennifer Goodwin, Michael Bellis, Michelle Bellis, David Bellis, Jr.; Elizabeth Bellis, Stephanie Bellis, Justin Bellis, Jenna Bellis; six great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Wayne was predeceased by his daughter Shari Ann Coyle, siblings: Kenneth W. Bellis, Sr., LeRoy Bellis, Anna Barton, Madeline Mandeville, Gareth Bellis. Abiding with Wayne's wishes there will be no funeral services. A gathering for family will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, Pa.
