William "Bill" E. Burgess

William E. Burgess, 74, of Berkshire, NY passed away Monday, June 27, 2011 following a period of declining health. Bill was born October 28, 1936 in Nichols, NY a son of the late Howard and Myrtle (Conklin) Burgess. He was a veteran of the US Army and proudly served his country from 1955-1958. Bill was a long time employee for the Village of Owego where he formed many friendships over the years. Bill is survived by his wife Jennie Burger Burgess; his children: Michael L. (Diane) Jones; Carol (Joseph) Seaman; John (Laura) Jones; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Bill was predeceased by his parents, siblings: Charles, Francis, Dick, Ruth, Luella and Jenny. Family and friends are invited to attend a service of remembrance at the chapel at Vestal Hills Memorial Park on Friday, July 1, 2011 at 11 am.
