William "Bill" P. Driscoll

William P. Driscoll, 73, of Rome, Pa passed away at his home on Tuesday morning, January 11, 2022. Bill was born on April 15, 1948 in Sayre, Pa a son of the late Gerald and Eleanor (Truesdail) Driscoll. He was a graduate of Athens High School and for over 30 years was a machinist for GTE - Sylvania. An avid outdoorsman, Bill enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. He also had a keen eye for auto mechanics and built his own race car. Always willing to help those in need, he also loved to spend time on his tractor, snow plowing, helping friends and neighbors plant their gardens. Bill will be missed by his son Dale; his sisters: Jacqueline (Steven) McNamara; Kathleen Scarborough; his mother-in-law: Dorothy Steele; sisters-in-law: Patricia Strouble and Paulette Steele; a brother-in-law Joe (Bonnie) Steele. Eleven nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Bill was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Edith J. Driscoll on April 2, 2021 and his parents Gerald and Eleanor Driscoll.
