William T. Welfel Jr.

William T. Welfel, Jr. 83, of Windham, PA passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at the Sayre Health Care Facility following a period of declining health. Bill was born on November 5, 1935 in Smithboro, NY a son of the late William T. and Alice (Wilcox) Welfel. For nearly 25 years, Bill worked at Morse Chain in Ithaca. He is survived by his children: William T. (Laurie) Hawthorne; Jeannie (Albert) Fredenburg; Cindy (Robert) Raymond; Debra (Larry) Wanzo; Sherri (Jim) Coney; his sisters: Estella Rogers; Helen Russell; Joyce Welfel and Sue Deuell. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Bill was predeceased by his wife Sarah Jane (Brewer) Welfel; his sibling: Clara Oliver, John, Henry, Gene and Walter Welfel. Abiding with the families wishes there will be no services.
